Applicant Tracking Update

On the evening of Thursday, March 29th, there will be a Product Update release that will improve the functionality of your Applicant Tracking System. Almost every page will be updated to some extent, but you’ll find the biggest changes on the Posts, Post List, and Job Board.

If you’re more of a visual learner, you can get a side-by-side understanding of what’s changing here. This will show you what the pages currently look like vs. what they will look like after the update. Throughout the feature, you’ll find most of the screens (not including the Hiring Workflow and the main Dashboard) will be getting what we’re calling the “standard look”. Under your Company Setup tab, you’ll find the fields currently labeled Application Control, Add/Edit Application Questions, and Assign Question Sets will all be merged into a single field. As of right now, the hiring workflow won’t be changed, though there will be major improvements to that aspect of the feature down the road.

Job Board

A Job Board is going to be added to the menu so administrators can get a glimpse of what a job post looks like for the applicants once they’ve set it up.

The Job Board will display all current openings in an easy to navigate screen.

Applicants looking to apply for a job on your job board will notice that jobs will be flagged in different colors depending on the status of their applications. They’ll be able to identify any job they’ve successfully applied for with a green flag, those that are partially finished with a blue flag, and those that haven’t been started with a teal flag. The ‘submit’ button will change to reflect this status.

Job Posts

The old Posting List will be updated to a Job Post screen. The initial view will give you a list of all your current open posts. If you want to find your closed posts, you can find those via the Options button at the top right of the screen. You can also get a URL for each job opening by clicking on the desired job. From this screen, you can see how many applications you’ve received, how many you have not viewed (indicated by a red bubble) and how many “candidates” you have opted to move forward with the process.
